Counseling Approach

When given a warm, accepting environment, I believe all people-big and small- have the ability to strive towards personal growth. As a person-centered counselor, I believe all people are born with everything they need to thrive within themselves. However, people can sometimes struggle to reach their potential by experiencing different life events. I trust in my client’s natural direction and work collaboratively with the client, and when applicable, their family to reach their goals. I focus my work with client’s on creating a strong, empathetic therapeutic relationship that allows clients to find greater self-awareness, more appreciation, and self-acceptance.
