Counseling Approach
Maddison believes that everyone goes through transitions and ups and downs
throughout their life and that each person is unique and deserves to be seen and heard. Everyone is on a different path in life, but able to develop their own resiliencies
and strengths in order to flourish.
Maddison believes the therapeutic relationship
is one of the most important aspects and protective factors for all clients who are
seeking therapy. She believes is is her role to help clients discover their strengths and weaknesses, aid them in developing their
resiliencies, and help them achieve their goals.

Experience
Maddison also has clinical internship experience providing career counseling for college students who are transitioning into higher education, internships, or getting their start in the world outside of school. Maddison is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and uses this therapeutic modality for teens and adults suffering from PTSD and trauma symptoms.

Education
Maddison received her Master of Science degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University with a clinical area of focus in Child-Centered Play Therapy and Adolescent Play Therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from Texas Christian University.

Experience
In her clinical internship, Maddison gained a significant amount of counseling experience while working with children, teens and adults. Maddison provided child-centered play therapy for children, activity therapy for pre-adolescents and teens, and talk therapy for
teens and adults who were going through difficult life transitions.
Since then, Madison has continued to expand her experience over the last several yers as she has worked extensively with children, pre-teens, teens, and their parents. Madi has helped numerous families improve their parent/child relationships, learn new positive discipline parent education tools, new positive coping skills, and helped countless children and parents Improve their quality of life.
