Counseling Approach

Roshni believes everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and accepted for who they are. She understands that reaching out for counseling can feel vulnerable, especially when navigating the cultural stigma surrounding mental health. She strives to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment. Recognizing that everyone’s experiences and needs are unique, Roshni tailors counseling to meet clients where they are, helping them build on their strengths, deepen their self-understanding, and navigate life’s challenges at their own pace.

Experience

Roshni gained clinical experience at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, where she supported children, adolescents, and adults navigating a variety of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, and interpersonal relationship dynamics. She helped clients develop coping skills, identify and express emotions, and navigate difficult experiences. Previously, she completed her clinical practicum at the SMU Center for Family Counseling, where she worked with children and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, grief, emotional dysregulation, and developmental differences. Through these experiences, Roshni developed a commitment to providing compassionate, individualized support that honors each client’s unique experiences, needs, and strengths.

Roshni earned her Master of Science in Counseling, with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Counseling, from Southern Methodist University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas at Dallas.
