Counseling Approach
Hallie believes meaningful growth happens within a trusting therapeutic relationship, so she takes time to build genuine connections with her clients and honor each individual’s unique life experiences and perspectives. Every person’s story is unique and deserves to be met with curiosity, respect, and compassion. Hallie believes in creating a safe and supportive space for clients to feel heard and valued. Through building a strong, collaborative connection, she helps clients explore challenges, discover strengths, and create change that aligns with their personal goals.

Education
Hallie received her Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas focusing on Adolescent Therapy and Child-Centered Play Therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and Psychology at St. Edwards University.

Experience
Prior to getting her Master’s degree, Hallie spent time volunteering at organizations that helped support the community. She volunteered to assist with grief support groups and to help research and assist with programs dedicated to helping domestic violence survivors.
While studying for her Masters, Hallie took jobs at multiple organizations where she was able to work with and help children and adolescents in foster care, manage services of facilities for low-income families, and assist adults with mental health disabilities.
In her student internship Hallie worked at Jewish Family Service providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults assisting them with a wide variety of experiences including: depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. Here, she also created and co-led a virtual support group for children who were struggling with life transitions and emotional regulation skills during the 2020 COVID pandemic.
As an associate and fully licensed counselor, Hallie assisted with running social skills groups for ADHD and Autistic children and provided play therapy and individual counseling.
