Counseling Approach

I believe that every person has a story worth hearing and deserves a space where they feel seen, valued, and understood. Life can bring seasons of uncertainty, grief, relationship challenges, and emotional pain that may feel difficult to navigate alone. My desire is to walk alongside individuals during these seasons, offering a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can explore their experiences and discover opportunities for growth and healing.

My counseling approach is grounded in person-centered principles, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I believe meaningful change begins when individuals feel safe enough to be themselves without fear of judgment. Rather than approaching counseling with the assumption that I have all the answers, I seek to understand each person's unique experiences, values, and perspectives while collaboratively exploring their concerns and goals.

I recognize that seeking counseling can require vulnerability and courage. Whether someone is navigating a major life transition, processing painful experiences, experiencing grief, or seeking healthier relationships, my hope is to create an environment where they feel supported, respected, and empowered throughout their journey.

My Christian faith is an important part of my personal life and shapes the values of compassion, humility, and respect that I bring into my work. At the same time, I recognize that every individual comes with their own beliefs, values, and experiences. I am committed to honoring those differences and creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients of all backgrounds feel respected and supported. For those who desire to incorporate faith into their counseling experience, I welcome that opportunity while allowing each client to guide how their personal beliefs are included in the therapeutic process.

Education and Experience

Jasmine is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University and is also a Registered Nurse with professional experience in critical care and post-anesthesia care, where she has had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through some of life's most vulnerable and uncertain moments.

Jasmine's nursing background has deeply shaped her understanding of compassion, the importance of listening, and the connection between emotional and physical well-being. Through her clinical counseling training at Dallas LIFE Counseling Center, she has gained experience working with adults navigating a variety of life challenges, including grief, trauma, interpersonal difficulties, and significant life transitions.

As Jasmine continues developing as a counselor, she is committed to approaching each individual with humility, curiosity, and genuine care. Her goal is to provide a welcoming therapeutic space where clients from all backgrounds and belief systems feel comfortable exploring their stories and taking meaningful steps toward personal growth.
