Counseling Approach

Sahian is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. She believes each person is the expert of their own life and values building a collaborative relationship that empowers clients throughout their healing process. She supports clients in exploring their thoughts and emotions, developing practical coping skills, and gaining insight into patterns that may be holding them back. Sahian is kind and supportive in her approach, while also recognizing the importance of gentle challenge to foster growth when clients feel ready.

Education and Experience

Sahian Sanabria is a graduate student currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Nelson University. She earned a B.S in Psychology and an A.A in Religious Studies from Nelson University in 2022.

Sahian's background includes experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, an after-school counselor working with elementary-aged children, mentoring adolescent girls through church- based programs, and supporting adults with developmental disabilities through life skills training.

Sahian is bilingual and passionate about serving the Spanish-speaking community, with a commitment to providing culturally responsive and accessible care. She believes that hardships do not define a person’s worth, and that while pain may be part of one’s story, it does not determine their future. She values authenticity, trust, and meeting clients where they are, while encouraging growth, resilience, and meaningful change. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relational difficulties, and concerns related to identity and self-worth.
