Dean Wisdom
Counseling Approach.
I primarily use Child-Centered Play therapy with littles and Emotionally Focused Therapy with adolescents, adults and couples. But here is the vernacular: I help build self-confidence and expression in kids and I help parents repair and restore their relationship with their child. With adults, I help them understand and know themselves in such a way that they figure out a way ahead. With couples, I help them repair (sometimes 10, 20, 30+ years of) hurt with each other -- not as venting sessions but to reach and love each other on deeper emotional levels that is in itself restorative.
