Counseling Approach

Cindy believes in meeting clients where they are on their life journey—a path that is often unpredictable and filled with surprises. She is committed to walking alongside her clients, creating a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. Recognizing that each person is unique and doing their best. Cindy places great importance on building a strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful progress. Her goal is to provide an environment where clients feel free to be their authentic selves and are empowered to grow.

Cindy offers services in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
Beyond her professional experience, Cindy is the mother of two young adults.

Education and Experience

Cindy earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from Southern Methodist University, a leading institution in therapy education. She specializes in child play and activity therapy and is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy with the Behavioral Tech Institute. She has also earned a Master of Business Administration from Claremont Graduate University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

During her clinical internship, Cindy gained extensive experience working with children of all ages by utilizing an integrated play therapy approach. She also engaged with pre-teens and teens through both activity-based therapy and talk therapy. In addition to her work with youth, Cindy supported parents by offering guidance on strengthening parent-child relationships. Cindy also worked with adults navigating life transitions and other significant challenges.
